| Dear Eleanor, | |
It seems as if summer is flying by -- we can already see the days growing shorter, and everyone is thinking about the "season of Jewish holidays" that always starts our autumn.
But if this feels like the end of a season, it's also the beginning of a wonderful new season -- a time of reconnecting with family and friends, a time of reflection and renewal, a time of Jewish community.
Look at all the activities we have planned for the coming weeks and sign up, now! This newsletter invites you to put Sharone Hadassah on your agenda of ways to be involved in important Jewish connections.
This is also a pleasant opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your support of Hadassah -- in Israel and right here in Silicon Valley. We look forward to engaging you in our endeavors and sharing good times.
Welcome to Sharone Hadassah! And, welcome back!

Lively Planning Session Moves Sharone Forward | |
On Sunday, July 25, about a dozen dedicated ladies gathered at Bette Emanuel's home to plan events and generate enthusiasm for a rich and appealing way to engage all our members in activities for the coming year.
One topic of discussion was how to reach all our members most effectively. We hope this eNewsletter is successful in encouraging you each month to get involved in our Chapter's interesting topics and events. We're also discussing other ways to reach those of our members who might not find an electronic message accessible. Let us know your thoughts! (Email Eleanor at ewdickman@yahoo.com)
We also brainstormed other types of events that would appeal to our members: educational events, theatre outings, museum visits, an art show. Effectively involving our younger members is also a priority, so if you fall into this category, please be encouraged to step forward and share your ideas. (Email Rene at rene@prupes.com)
These are the dates we've confirmed so far. Hope to see you at EVERY one!
Save the Dates:
We need YOUR support and help to make these events and our Hadassah projects a great success! Please contact Jane Jacobson at 408-872-1845 or jane_jacobson@usa.net to volunteer for any of these committees or to host an international dinner.
And stay tuned for fun info about each of these events and the special touches we plan to add to the programs.
